The Patriots may not have made history, but I managed to make history of my own this week: For the first time in the history of this column, I was bedridden with the flu and bronchitis for three straight days. The timing couldn't have been worse -- not only did I have to cancel Wednesday's podcast with David Stern, but I couldn't write a reaction to the Shaq trade, slap together a column of post-Super Bowl e-mails or finish a monster mailbag that was already half done.
